GAMEBOY-MODS

One cart. Your whole library.

The SuperChis Prime is an open-hardware flash cartridge for the Game Boy Advance. Load your game backups onto the included microSD card, slot it in, and everything's on one cart — saves and all. I set up and test every one in a console I've built.

SuperChis Prime flash cart in a clear shell
  • SuperChis Prime flash cartridge — FRAM edition, so saves never rely on a battery
  • 8GB microSD card + USB adapter, ready to plug into your computer
  • Latest SuperFW firmware flashed and configured — savestates, cheat engine and cheat database built in
  • Ready for your games — drag and drop your own .gba backups into the Games folder on the microSD and you're playing
  • Tested in a Gameboy Mods UK console before it ships

No commercial games are included. Drop your own game backups (plain .gba files) into the Games folder on the microSD — no patching, no faff.

What does it work in?
Anything with a GBA cartridge slot — Game Boy Advance, GBA SP, Game Boy Micro, and the original DS / DS Lite.
How do I put games on it?
Plug the microSD into your computer with the included adapter and copy your own backed-up .gba files into the Games folder. Devices like the GB Operator let you dump cartridges you own.
Do saves work?
Yes — properly. This is the FRAM edition, so there's no save battery to die. Saves are also written to the microSD.
Savestates and cheats?
Built in. Pause any game with the in-game menu to snapshot your progress or load it back, and switch on cheats from the cheat engine — a database of codes comes preinstalled on the card.
Everything run perfectly?
The vast majority of the GBA library runs without touching anything. A handful of demanding games can stutter, and a few re-releases with anti-flashcart tricks don't run — that's a limit of the hardware, not your unit.
